By Car

From the North:
Exit the A2 motorway at Lagonegro Nord and merge onto the S.S. 585 'Fondovalle del Noce'. Going along it you will find three possible exits in the following order:
1) North Maratea (Not recommended);
2) Maratea Centro (You pass through the town of Trecchina, through the 'Passo La Colla', through Maratea Centro Storico and then you reach Fiumicello beach)
3) South Maratea (Exit the S.S. 585 in Castrocucco di Maratea and take the Strada Statale 18 towards Maratea, after 11 km you reach Fiumicello beach.)

From the South:
Exit the A2 at Lauria Sud, take the S.P. 3 up to Lauria and follow the signs for the S.S. 585 towards Maratea Sud.

From Puglia:
Take the Ionica state road to Policoro, then take the SINNICA and exit at Lauria Nord-Pecorone. Then follow the signs for the S.S.585 towards Maratea Sud.

By Train

The Maratea railway station is located on the NAPLES-REGGIO CALABRIA line

EUROSTAR, INTERCITY, RED ARROW and ARGENTO ARROW trains stop at this station.

During the summer the service is enhanced with an increase in stops.

By Air

The nearest airports are Naples Capodichino (around 200 km) and Lamezia terme (around 150 km)

By Bus

SITA S.p.A. offers direct bus connections between Maratea and the towns of: Sapri, Trecchina, Tortora, Praia a Mare, Rivello, Lagonegro and Lauria, with connections for all the main towns of the region.

By Boat

MetrĂ² del mare offers a hydrofoil service from the port of Naples, Beverello to the neighboring city of Sapri. It is then possible to reach Maratea from Sapri by bus, train or taxi.
