Hotel Settebello is a privately owned, modern, three star hotel, located in a beautiful, natural setting, a few metres from the beach at Fiumicello in Maratea. Settebello is the only hotel in Fiumicello actually on the beach, and it looks out across a stunning bay, where the deep azzure blue of the sky and the rich green of the pine forest are reflected in the clear, warm waters of the Tyrrhenian sea. The hotel is only 300 metres from the centre of Fiumicello, and within easy reach of the town of Maratea (5 km), the harbour (1.5 km) and the station (1 km).
The hotel, open from April to October, has been recently renovated and is managed directly by the owner whose primary objectives are: good service, courtesy and cleanliness.
The hotel has 28 rooms all with ensuite shower rooms, telephone, tv and air conditioning. Many of the rooms have large balconies overlooking the sea and others have a view out towards Mount San Biagio and the famous statue of 'Christ the Redeemer'. There is also a private car park available to guests. The hotel bar, positioned on the terrace overlooking the sea, is open from 8.00 am until midnight. In addition, it serves snacks and provides room service. Also available to guests are a reading room with a TV and a conference room that holds 35 people.
The beach, immediately outside the hotel, has a large free public area as well as two privately operated Lidos that offer discounted prices to guests staying at the hotel. There is a local bus service, that runs from June to September, with a bus stop right outside the hotel, connecting the various villages with the town of Maratea.
The small, pretty town of Fiumicello is within walking distance from the hotel. The road is well cared for and well lit, and lined by villas with gardens overflowing with flowers. In the town itself there are bars, restaurants and pizzerias, a bank, a small church, a range of shops and boutiques and a small supermarket.
